4 - GENRE OF MUSIC - Anthems

 ANTHEMS


Anthems are a lesser-known genre of music that generally also include a large variety of other genres inside of it's definition. For a song to be classified as an anthem, it must include several of these points:

- An anthem must be able to be identified or commonly represent a certain group or cause.

- An anthem will most often represent a the ideals of a group of people or a certain moment in time.

- An anthem should be uplifting and rousing, and able to be sung together by a large group of people.

- An anthem should likely be Influential in the group, cause, moment or body of people that it is associated with.

Some examples of an anthem include: We Are The Champions (Queen), Hey Jude (The Beatles), YMCA (Village People), Wonderwall (Oasis), Dancing Queen (Abba), Living On A Prayer (Bon Jovi), etc.

RE-SHOOTS AND ADDITIONS When editing the majority of my re-shoots were done during the sections of the video when the protagonist is at home. This was quite lucky, as you can imagine. The main reason for many of the re-shoots are simply due to not being very happy with the result, whether that be because of the camera angle, lighting, or because I forgot to focus the camera before recording... 2 - AUTER DIRECTOR - Steve Barron

STEVE BARRON Steve Barron is an Irish filmmaker and director born in 1956, Dublin. He started work in films as a camera assistant, and slowly growing to have directed for a huge number of films, TV shows and music videos, as well as doing all sorts of other works. Some notable works include directing a number of episodes from the television series "The Storyteller", produced by Jim Henson, along with directing the films "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" in 1990 and "The Adventures of Pinocchio" in 1996. He is most known, however, for his work on Micheal Jackson's music video for the song "Billie Jean", Bryan Adams' music video for both "Summer of '69" and "Run to You", as well as directing the music video for Aha's "Take on Me".
