9 - TARGET DEMOGRAPHIC - Aspirant New Casuals

ASPIRANT NEW CASUALS


Despite the band having a fairly vague demographic, reaching from young teens to the older generations, the main target audience would be the Aspirant New Casuals; 

Mainly as listeners of wide variations of folk, New Casuals and Aspirants are often defined to have a "low-key vibe". This group predominantly stays around the ages of 16-25, common with both males and females. Their clothing often focuses more on what is comfortable, while still keeping an eye on what is fashionable and trendy for their demographic.


I am hoping that the music video will be able to appeal strongly to these demographics by embracing the areas that will interest them.

RE-SHOOTS AND ADDITIONS When editing the majority of my re-shoots were done during the sections of the video when the protagonist is at home. This was quite lucky, as you can imagine. The main reason for many of the re-shoots are simply due to not being very happy with the result, whether that be because of the camera angle, lighting, or because I forgot to focus the camera before recording... STEVE BARRON Steve Barron is an Irish filmmaker and director born in 1956, Dublin. He started work in films as a camera assistant, and slowly growing to have directed for a huge number of films, TV shows and music videos, as well as doing all sorts of other works. Some notable works include directing a number of episodes from the television series "The Storyteller", produced by Jim Henson, along with directing the films "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" in 1990 and "The Adventures of Pinocchio" in 1996. He is most known, however, for his work on Micheal Jackson's music video for the song "Billie Jean", Bryan Adams' music video for both "Summer of '69" and "Run to You", as well as directing the music video for Aha's "Take on Me".
