7 - THINGS TO CONSIDER - Lighting

 Lighting

Due to the fact that my music video will most likely be shot predominantly outside, lighting may become an issue. The shoots will have to be done in the afternoon-evening, and I will also most likely have to also use some hidden artificial lights to achieve certain effects.

Because I will want most of my lighting to achieve a warmer tone, I will want to do a lot of shooting in the late afternoon as then I can use the "Golden Hour" sunset to my advantage. This would, however, mean that I would have a very limited time to take as much footage as possible, and will have to insure that continuity is maintained throughout the different shots.

I can also encourage this lighting effect in editing, although I don't want to have to rely too much on post-production.

RE-SHOOTS AND ADDITIONS When editing the majority of my re-shoots were done during the sections of the video when the protagonist is at home. This was quite lucky, as you can imagine. STEVE BARRON Steve Barron is an Irish filmmaker and director born in 1956, Dublin. He started work in films as a camera assistant, and slowly growing to have directed for a huge number of films, TV shows and music videos, as well as doing all sorts of other works. Some notable works include directing a number of episodes from the television series "The Storyteller", produced by Jim Henson, along with directing the films "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" in 1990 and "The Adventures of Pinocchio" in 1996. He is most known, however, for his work on Micheal Jackson's music video for the song "Billie Jean", Bryan Adams' music video for both "Summer of '69" and "Run to You", as well as directing the music video for Aha's "Take on Me".
