7 - THINGS TO CONSIDER - Typography

 TYPOGRAPHY

If I am to include some kind of typography into the music video, I would like to be able to include the text without the need for editing, or at least with the illusion of that. On the other hand, I would like to be able to do this through a technique of showing text on screen to represent what a character is writing/typing. 

I would like to take inspiration from the Ben Stiller film "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty", in which the film uses an incredibly innovative way to show opening credits or other pieces of text that is embedded into the set of the film through visual affects.

In the image shown, the film shows us a text the character has gotten through making it appear carved in the mountain side. I think this is an amazing and incredibly unique way of conveying information through text, without doing something simple like just showing a shot of the characters phone instead.

RE-SHOOTS AND ADDITIONS When editing the majority of my re-shoots were done during the sections of the video when the protagonist is at home. This was quite lucky, as you can imagine. The main reason for many of the re-shoots are simply due to not being very happy with the result, whether that be because of the camera angle, lighting, or because I forgot to focus the camera before recording... 2 - AUTER DIRECTOR - Steve Barron

STEVE BARRON Steve Barron is an Irish filmmaker and director born in 1956, Dublin. He started work in films as a camera assistant, and slowly growing to have directed for a huge number of films, TV shows and music videos, as well as doing all sorts of other works. Some notable works include directing a number of episodes from the television series "The Storyteller", produced by Jim Henson, along with directing the films "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" in 1990 and "The Adventures of Pinocchio" in 1996. He is most known, however, for his work on Micheal Jackson's music video for the song "Billie Jean", Bryan Adams' music video for both "Summer of '69" and "Run to You", as well as directing the music video for Aha's "Take on Me".
